Lake Ontario Diving

I'll be diving Lake Ontario over Labor Day weekend...it's a remote island approximately an hour west of Kingston, husband and wife team run the show, supposed to be some good wrecks. We were supposed to visit there in late May but trip was blown out due to weather.

My LDS has the name of the isle and outfit, but I can't recall...does anybody have any insight into this?

The name? Quality of the diving..? Shore diving?

My best guess is that you're heading to Duck's Dive in Picton. It's not an island, but very close to on (if you look on the map they have you'll see the that the land mass is still very much attached to the "mainland").

The shore diving is available, but rather limited right there. The wrecks you get to go via their charter are a delight. I have been there in the past, and, in fact head there next weekend for two days of diving.

Sounds like Ducks Dive... Susan and George in Point Traverse. Excellent people and quality wrecks in the area. Most of the stuff is around 90 to 100 feet. Good vis and plenty of good video and still opportunities. Wishing you good weather.
