I'm new to diving and have made about 10 dives in Lake Lanier Ga. Some have been great and some no so great. I want to buy a dive light that will work so I can see in the trees better. I have stayed away from them up to now since I only have a small inexpensive dive light. What would be a good light to get that will not break the bank?

I will be diving Coney Island Friday morning before the boat traffic gets bad so if any body wants to join let me know. Coney Island is just north of Holiday Marina.

Thanks

Hey Stilt -

I'm at the lake a lot for diving, I have to work Friday morning, but I will definitely keep an eye out for future posts about when you are going.

Are you a member of Atlanta Scuba Divers through Meetup.com yet? I'm gotten several buddies on short notice by keeping up with the community there.

I use an IkeLite PCM in the lake, it's decent when there aren't many particles in suspension. Princeton Tec makes a Torrent 3w LED that is good too.

Both are substantially less than 100$.

I live by the lake at Holiday marina and I'm looking to get with some divers. What is a good time for you? I’m wanting to do some Thursday afternoon dives when the water is at its best. I’m thinking that after the water has calmed down from the weekend will be a good time. I have boats so getting out there is no problem.
