Make sure how ever you rig your bracket that it's a little overbuilt. It's not so much the steady weight that kills ladders - it's the momentary surge weight when you're on the ladder and the boat lifts in a swell - that 300 pounds can be a whole lot more for a few seconds.

Yes,.I'm going to beef the transom up, with 1/4 " stock alum on both side's, I know what you mean by the surge weight, I''ll drop you a pic when I'm done, I'll probably make a decision today, thanks !
