Boy, these guys really know how to provide service! I recently needed their help on an urgent repair to my Sport unit (due to my own negligence:shakehead:), and they really came through. I had the unit in storage for almost a year, and like an idiot I forgot to remove the batteries from it before putting it away. And, to make matters worse, I didn't pull it out for testing until less that 2 weeks before my impending dive trip.:eek:hbrother: (I know- what a doof...) Needless to say, I had problems. The transmitter wouldn't power up, and I called Desert Star in a panic. They told me that they had had problems with the battery case warping if the batteries are left in it for extended periods, and they needed me to send it back for repair. I rushed the whole thing back to them by 2 day air, and they got it 4 days ago on Monday. They fixed it, and put it back in shipment that same day, and I got it back on Wednesday. The thing works fine now, and they even put little tape reminders over the control switches on both units reminding me to take the D*** batteries out before storing it . Not too likely that I will make that mistake again. Anyway, many thanks to the guys at Desert Star for saving my bacon on this one!:yelclap: Woody
