Koh Yao Yai: The Andaman Sea's New Hidden Diving Gem

Koh Yao Yai is fast becoming one of the most exciting new dive destinations in the Andaman Sea. Its central location makes it an ideal departure point for exploring nearby dive sites, while offering easy access to both Phuket and Krabi airports.

This unspoilt, tranquil island remains largely untouched by mass tourism, providing a relaxed atmosphere with wild, serene beaches and a laid-back vibe. There are no parties here—just peaceful surroundings, great food, and a chance to unwind.

Getting to Koh Yao Yai is simple, with regular public boats offering convenient transport from both Phuket and Krabi.

Diving with Elixir Divers

At Elixir Divers, a PADI-certified dive centre, guests dive in small, intimate groups of just 3-10 divers aboard a brand-new speedboat. Whether you're a beginner or experienced diver, you'll explore top dive sites such as Shark Point, Anemone Reef, Koh Doc Mai, and the King Cruiser Wreck.

A two-tank dive trip typically takes just four hours, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the stunning underwater world. Elixir Divers also offers excursions to the famous Phi Phi Islands.

So are you the owner or work for the resort/dive shop?

Sounds a lot like advertising.

We allow everyone an introduction thread like this one. I've never heard of them, so it's good they've told us about themselves. More underwater pics please. What can we see there?

I understand, but saying the place is “new” and hidden is pushing it to me.
Op is also commenting on other posts promoting themselves without telling they’re promoting their own business.

I dived those sites mentioned in its web site back in 1998. Nothing NEW.

I thought it pretty obvious. Peeps asked where they should go, and he answered with a "choose me" post. No issues there. At least for me.

For the record, I do agree that letting people boldly know you're associated with a particular dive-op, is always best. No one likes the feeling that they might be trying to deceive others.

Hey everybody, I am newbie on this platform and sorry about not mentioning that I am associated with the dive centre and basically advertising it. I have no intention to inform you about new dive sites and locations. These all are very well known dive sites and suitable for beginner divers as well.

Saying "New" means that people go to Phuket or Koh Tao all the time. I encourage people to discover new departure point.

What I wish to express to worldwide community is that it is very convenient to dive from Koh Yao Yai. It is not so busy on the boat as we dive in small groups from speedboat. We operate our own boats while many dive shops in Thailand just send people to other boats. We are original tour operator.

Koh Yao Yai island is also great getaway destination if you compare it to Phuket, Phi Phi or Krabi so diving the same dive sites from here make good sense to us.

Big thanks to the Chairman for understanding.

Have a great day :)
