How long after a storm like we are having this week, will it take for the vis to come back at knuble? I haven't dove knuble as of yet, does everyone use flags? i know you can find alot of divers there at once.

I dove Nubble last summer, it was after a series of T-Storms and the vis was pretty good then, not sure during the winter how it is. It is a very popular dive site, parking is an issue in the summer. Easy access in (some slippery rocks). Nice sheltered cove. You will enjoy! York Beach a hop skip and a jump away, ahhh, can't wait for warmer water!

I assume you are a police officer, otherwise you work at K-Mart...

Shellbird, i was a police officer when i signed up i have since resigned. just too much sadness seen under those blue lights. I am now working for happier days in St Someplace

Couldn't pay me enough... sorry for the wise-crack... couldn't resist.

Hi Bill:

I was going to attempt a dive at Nubble on Saturday, but now the weather forecast is calling for rain both Fri & Sat. Weather looks good for Sunday, but they do not allow diving at Nubble on Sunday’s & Holidays. You should bring a dive flag with you when you go. The environmental police are up there from time to time. However if there are many divers already in the water and they are using flags then I do not use mine. When I do use my flag I just take it with me at the start of the dive and then tie it off in a spot that’s familiar to me and then retrieve it on the way out. Nubble is a great dive sight and I go there often. I prefer to dive deep up there, but it is much prettier in the shallows.
