Hey Doctorfish, thanks for the additional info and story. Brings back very fond memories reading and writing about. I know I have a picture somewhere of me on the beach being dropped off by the landing craft. It was novel and I remember it as a great experience to be picked up on the beach right in front of where we were staying which I think then we stayed at a place called the Beach Club.

Thanks Nipi. It sounds like a great read. Its amazing what you can recall but I recall diving with a Ron on one of these Bob Soto trips. I will go back and check my early log books. TK

In Feb '79 5 dives with a Ron on a Bob Soto trip. First single tank dive on the Balboa for $15.80 noted in the logbook.
