A ScubaBoard Staff Message...

How a thread about a guy dying while diving can morph into "covid vaccines are the reason" is incredible. Please reread the special rules for this forum and take your vaccine conspiracy theories to the subforum we created for discussion about covid and vaccinations. Please. Marg, SB Senior Moderator

Since when is off topic a problem?
95% of forms are off topic really fast,
Better delete them all

It's this thread specifically out of respect for the deceased.

...but to the dead we owe only the truth.

But Covid-19 has zero to do with the truth of what this man died of because we just don't have enough information. The truth is someone lost their life, and like a bunch of 3rd graders (myself included) we ran off on a tangent about something entirely different.

How a thread about a guy dying of a heart attack while diving can morph into "covid vaccines are the reason" is incredible. How did we determine that he died of a "heart attack", exactly?

There's speculation, which always occurred before and is allowed per the rules of this sub-forum.

But some speculation is so unsupported and irrelevant that its completely pointless and adds nothing to our understanding of dive accidents.

Good Lord. The amount of strokes and heart attacks this last year or so has been absolutely staggering. No words to describe the situation.

I wonder if some may be Covid related, as it can cause heart issues. Of course a lot of divers being off for a year or more may not be in the shape they think.
