Hello Scubaboarders,

Another interview from our Eurotek tec-talk series.

Kevin Gurr
One of the first Trimix instructors in Europe, a solid reputation in the world of technical diving and the brain behind the development of the Ourobouros and VR Dive Computers. All of this and more applies to Kevin Gurr, marine engineer and Director of VR Techology.

His experience in technical diving started in the beginning of the 1990s, when Kevin wanted to develop a rebreather with safety fundamentals built in, testing several prototype units. Continuously pushing on exploration, he set up IANTD in the UK and has taught many of today's UK foremost technical diving instructors.

At Eurotek he won a lifetime achievement award for his relentless efforts defining the way technical diving looks today.

Kevin tells us the story of how computer tables and algorythms are developed, and he explains why VR Technology developed a new dive computer, the VRX, and what the difference is with the popular VR3.
