Went to Keel Cove after seeing it in the "99 Dives book". The book talks about 2 wrecks and tire reef. We headed out on the bearing suggested in the book, a long swim after a steep hike to the beach. Viz was promising at the surface, but got worse the deeper we went. After much course correction and more swimming we found the tire reef and a piece of fibreglass which I assumed to be the small wreck. at 50 feet the viz was down to 5 feet or less. We never found the bigger wreck, supposed to be a 35ft fishing trawler.
Has anyone been to this wreck lately? Is it still there? And when are we going to get some decent viz!
