I wouldn't bother. If you don't want the extra inflator, you can always replace the inflator with an OPV or a blanking cap. They're universal to nearly all backplate and wings, and you can buy them from Hollis if you want.

Why would you switch back and forth?

Unfortunately the K2 uses a fine thread compared to standard OPV/inflator/cap. You’ll have to order from Hollis if you wish to do so. There might be another equivalent but I haven’t found it.

The reason I'm doing that is because I am super new about side mount. when I got my course last Feb, I learned on x deep stealth with single inflator, but two weeks ago, ever since everything got back to normal, I wanted to buy my own side mount gear, so I bought it online and I had two version of it, the single and the double. I didn't really know what's the double is used for, but it was extra $200, so I thought it's better and I went ahead and I bought it, not realizing how I am supposed to use the double bladder for or even how to use dual inflators (maybe technical diving?)

now I am a bit confused, and I am thinking to return it back and exchange it for the single bladder version... I don't know really, you guys tell me if should do that or not.

So I am still wondering if I can convert it to single bladder to dive in the same way I learnt my side mount =)

You can just not use the second bladder, but if you can return it that 200 dollars would be better off going toward other gear.

As mentioned above. If you can return it and save $200, that’s what I would do. I dive the Katana 2 with the single bladder and I have 0 issues at all with it.

it is for redundancy in case you are diving wet with more gas than you can swim up. just leave it and clip the 2nd inflator out of the way.

Or carry a lift bag or a dsmb. Double inflator = double trouble ans double chances of failure.
