I've got an old K-valve with the HP-port on it. It really bothers me because it makes the tank hard to carry by the valve. Are any of you guys interested in it?

I should've checked when it was in for vis. It's on a late 60s PST, so I'd think 3/4".

I think I have an older 3/4 K that I pulled from a failed tank, want to swap? I hate to see the old stuff trashed.

Are they similar to these Dacor valves?

I initially swapped out the metal knob for a longer rubber knob. It updated its looks, and was easier to carry than the short metal knob.

Then I got bitten by the vintage bug, and now the metal knobs are back. I've learned to live with awkward carrying nature of the tanks (thank goodness they're light!)

Herman's offer does sound good though.

Yeah, it looks like that Dacor. I'll keep in touch Herman. I might not need a trade as I was thinking about putting one of my J's on it, or banding it up for a second set of doubles. I didn't have any plans to use the HP out, in any case, so I'd rather it ended up with someone who'd appreciate it.

You may want it to use it with your first double hose. :)

You have been hanging around here for a while... it is just a matter of time.
:D

Let me know if you want to swap....come to think of it I have a K on a steel 72.....that just should not be allowed. It needs to go. :) I have 2 others just like it.

I'll admit I'm real curious about doublehoses. If they weren't so expensive I'd give them a shot.

Just give it time... you will find some at reasonable prizes. The intro one at VDH is a great deal.

The first one is not that expensive… it is the half dozen after that, which gets expensive.

I hear they are cheaper than therapy. :D
