Hi All,

Last post for me regarding computer choices. Have gotten a tremendous amount of thoughtful feedback. I've narowed my choices to more entry level computers. I'll save the bells and whistles, and $$$$$ for a latter date. Rugged console unit is what I like. Please make a choice from the 3 below.

Aeris XR1 Navcon Console - no audible alarms - $399.95
Aeris XR2 Navcon Console - $569
Suunto Zoop Console - $349

I appreciat everone's time and consideration. post.

I don't think XR1 does nitrox so that would rule it out for me

If you're going to upgrade later, spend as little now as possible on something that will still be useful (backup/travel) in the future ie Zoop

Personally I'd go wrist mount - more versatile - for $275 and get a brass & glass SPG for $60. Win-win

In your other post on this subject you mentioned Nitrox .... so, you should replace the XR-1 (that does not support Nitrox) with the XR-1 Nx.

We have all 3 computers in the simulator and we have online classes for the XR-1 Nx and the Zoop.
The XR-1 Nx online class is free if you register your product with Aeris.
You might also get a free online class for the Zoop .... but it depends on where you buy it. Check with the dive store.
