Another on the list of unusual things you may see if you look long enough....
These are juvenile Rigid Shrimpfish (or maybe Razorfish - hard to tell at this size). They are roughly 1cm in size each, and move rapidly backwards and forwards inside the spines of sea urchins.
Quite frankly these are a total *&$#@^ to shoot and I went to the manual focus/move the housing method of getting images. Of about 20 images, I got maybe 3 in acceptable focus.
Here is an image of the adults (who are unusual enough in themselves):
For those who have not seen these fish, they swim vertically in schools over the open ocean floor in really jerky movements. They are totally tough to photograph as well as they are not big on staying still, and they are silver and reflect. I actually have my strobes pointing away to get as little as possible direct light on them.
