Hey all,

I'm driving south in a week or so and I'd like to see some of the famous wrecks and sharks of the Carolinas,

Can anyone suggest an operator who goes to fun sites on weekdays, and might have an opening for a Northeast wreck diver. Also, any guidance on water temps and exposure protection would be appreciated

Thanks

Almost everyone is doing weekday trips this time of year. Check on the main page of NCDivers.com for a list of charter operators. Many have a schedule on their website.

Anywhere from Hatteras south you can expect mid-70's at depth. Most divers were 3mm this time of year.

Major cities to look for as you plan include Morehead City/Beaufort and Wilmington.

Jpcpact, there is a Sticky at the top of the NC forum here on Scubaboard that list the majority of the NC dive operators. Check that out and see if it helps too.

Since you are coming from the north, how about Outerbanks divers in Hatteras?
