Hello all, new to diving and finished the classroom and confined water dives last night. I have my open water dives in mid-October and then my first dive trip scheduled for St. John, USVI at the end of October.

I have a wicked case of "dive fever" and I'm really looking forward to a lifetime of fun and excitement through diving.

Cheers,

Chris

Congrats and welcome to your new addiction!

Now that the classwork is done, all that's left is the fun part, taking that big step off into the deep blue (or green or brown depending on where you are doing your OW dives :D ).

welcome, the first part is the most important part. make sure you understand the book so when your under water you know the basic's i sugest getting a umder water slate so if you do have a Q you can write it down.
I know waht its like having divingrritus. its a great feeling till you see the credit-card bill but it still doesnt stop me, theres nothing better than getting your own gear.
learn all you can and there no stupid Questions
enjoy and safe diving

Hi Chris,

Welcome to Scubaboard !

My conmiserations to you on your certification !!! Now you're going to be like me wondering why I am at work instead of diving. Work does take up too much time away from diving. You are also going to find that there will not be enough money for dive trips and gear because of unnecessary expenses such as food and electricity bills etc.

It's all worth it . dive more and enjoy your dives.
