Just ordered 620 - split from A620 first photos

Ive just ordered myself one of these as a christmas present (if i can find anyone stocking it). Cheapest i can find here for the camera and case combination is £380 ( $666 usd) but then again i do live in rip off britain...

Im hoping it'll be a nice improvment over my current 2mpixel Canon A40 and it'll work with an external strobe.

It's too late now but don't Amazon or Dell ship to the UK?
Using either you're almost certain to find it for less than for what retails in various u/w photo related or general electronic stores in the UK.

My A610 + housing + 256MB SD card cost me about US$421

Nope. And those suppliers that do get landed with customs import duty. Example one company offering it for about £60 cheaper than uk shops. You then had to add £55 import duty to the price

This IS chepaer than the shops. It'll cost near £500 buying it in a high street shop.

This is the UK - for anything electronic take the price in dollars, change the symbol to pounds and add on 30%. Thats normally about right.

Example $400 usually costs £500 ($900) here. Well over double.
