Hello and welcome to Scubaboard!

Just start looking around at the different threads. I use the Active Topics button to find the latest posts most of the time.

Welcome to the friendliest board on the net!
The "new posts" button at the top of the page is a good place to find posts that were put up since you were on last. The main page is a good place to scroll through and see what types of discussions interest you, the board is broken down into a BUNCH of topic areas making it pretty easy to navigate. Try using the "search" function if you have a particular question, there's a ton of information on here and many questions have been asked and answered in several different ways so you might find an answer to your question without even asking it. Once you start posting use the "user cp" button to find out if there have been any more posts to threads you are participating in. You can also subscribe to threads that you aren't participating in but are interested in reading as they progress.

The "forum jump" option at the bottom of the page is another nice way to skip from one area to another if you want to browse particular forums. ENJOY!

Hi Jloli and welcome to the board..... all good suggestions from others above. Other ideas.... try clicking on scubaboardcom which is the first choice on the top menu, you can choose by topic (what interest you, i.e. women's views, u/w photography.. the 'scuba market place for any services; 'the art of scuba diving' for forums like basic scuba discussions; 'Marine Science and Physiology' for topics like diving medicine and marine life; 'equipment of scuba diving' for forum on anything related to equipment; scuba diving vacation & destinations' for travel to the world; or 'scuba clubs' for forums on local diving by area.

Even better, how about you give us some information by using the 'profile' function. That way we can provide you with better content when answering your posts, and other SB members in your area can find you easier that way.

cheers,
Maria

Howdy!

And welcome to SB - the biggest, the best, the fastest growing, and :D the friendliest!

Completing your Profile with location and seperately - your Dive Info will help in future diving discussions. You can use the Quick Links menu above for this. Sizing a photo for your profile or Avatar can be a challenge; I'm a fumbling amateur, but I get the job done, if you'd like any help?

PM me if I can help you learn your way around; that is - click my username to the upper left, then follow the prompts to send me a "Personal Message."

And if you're going to be in Houston Oct 16 - for the DEMA show or any other reason, you're even invited to a SB Bar-B-Q dinner! Click here: http://scubaboard.com/t73366-swampers-bbq-update-and-current-info.html or PM me for assistance in signing up for it. Dee wanted to know sooner, but she can squeeze a few in late. I wouldn't miss this for anything! :thumb:

Hi there and welcome to ScubaBoard! :dazzler1:

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

Don't forget to fill out your profile and dive info, so that we can add context to your future posts. Also, once we know where you are geographically from your profile, you may find that you'll have a whole bunch of new dive buddies to choose from locally.

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.
