Thrilled to join Scuba Board.com. Planning my next dive to visit a diver friend that passed recently and is resting at Neptune's Garden underwater mausoleum. Anyone has been to an underwater wake service?

Welcome to scubaboard. At a dive site I frequent, someone’s remains are in a Scuba tank at about 45 feet next to a wreck. It’s in a Provincial Park so I’m pretty sure it isn’t really supposed to be there. However, each time I pass it I pay my respects by using the brush attached to clean the engraving.

That’s a deeply meaningful way to honor your friend. I haven’t attended an underwater wake service myself, but I’ve heard they can be incredibly moving. Wishing you peace and a beautiful dive at Neptune’s Garden.

Thank you very much. Unfortunately the weather here in Miami has not helped with the dive. So will post pictures when we go. best regards
