I'm a Fish!
I just got a new FIXHEYE NEO 1200DX Video Light.

My previous light was a FISHEYE FIX LED1000 which was quite a bit bigger physically and had analog switches and dials.

I was originally thinking my next light would be the SOLA 1200 but when I saw this in the shop it had these features on top of the SOLA 1200.

- Digital Display
- Power adjustments in 1% increments from 1% to 100%
- True time remaining display
- Wider Beam at 100 degrees in water
- Comes with just about any mount you will need.
- Two way charging. Charge Direct to light or remove battery and charge direct to battery. Means you can have a back up battery for repetitive dives.

Since I had not problems with my FIX 1000LED. I had not hesitation getting another Fisheye product.

I had an issue with the run time but I think Fisheye had a typo on the Specified run time of 100 min at full power. Have cycled it several times and am consistently getting 80 minutes at full power after a 140 minute charge.

Fisheye website specs indicate 100 minutes

The deal maker for me really is the 1% increment power adjustment. The SOLA only had 3 steps. I suspect I will only be using the light at about 10-15% as a focus light so that really helps me get longer run times.

Howdy, thanks for this writeup. Any updates; how's the Neo treating you? I'm looking at a new focus light, and probably going with the SOLA 1200. My only issue with that light is that I can't dial it down below 300 lumens.
