It's very...colorful....

I might respectfully suggest that in the future you ask for the advice/reviews prior to making tha purchase. Just in case you come across negative reviews you're not stuck with the purchase. Not saying that this is a bad purchase, I have no personal knowledge of the equipment listed other than to say that I have always heard positive things about the US Divers Conshelf regulator.

Happy Diving!

DO NOT BUY SCUBA GEAR OFF THE INTERNET!!!

You need to support your local dive shops!!:D

A local shop does repairs, runs
trips, conducts classes, fills tanks, and provides warranty service,
not to mention the valuable advice it can give. Buying online hurts
the local stores. Online shops DO NOT hold classes, runs trips, do
repairs, or most import - No Air Fills.

Most online shops are not authorized dealers, online stores provide little if any valuable
advice. Most of an online shop's employees are just regular folks
that answer a phone and take or stock orders - is just a job to them.
Few of these people have ever dove or really know what you are asking
when you have a question.

Local stores are the best source of all your gear and scuba needs.
Local shops stock a full line of gear from many companies as well as
provide all those last minute accessories that you will need.

Online shops do not inspect
tanks or do air fills, if your local shop is gone and no longer does
these things - how are you going to dive on un-inspected tanks without
air?

Im sorry your new and all but maybe this will help you being a new diver and get you started right!
Im not trying to be mean or anything but this is your best advice.
THINK ABOUT IT!!

Hello and Welcome I hope you finad all the information you will need on SCUBA BOARD.

The conshelf is a great regulator, and parts are readily available for its service and repair.

The Monitor-1 computer is getting pretty dated - like all computers, the market advances rapidly and you're thinking "obsolete" before too long. Heck, my computer is still being sold new, but looking at a new D9 or VR3 makes me feel wistful! I've never used one, but I do know that the company which does service for my LDS returned one as "parts unavailable" recently, but I don't know what parts, or if they're available directly from Aqualing.

No worries though, if the jacket BC and the Conshelf are in working order, you probably paid a fair price anyway. If the computer's working... gravy!

Scuba aqua girl.

I take it from your comments that you think we should not sell our gear when we upgrade either then as it denies the dive shop owners from selling new gear?

Buy your gear from who ever you like Lloydie there are plenty of bargains to be had on ebay and the rest of the net.

Scuba Aqua Girl you sound like you've had a bad experience with web based sellers. I'm sorry to hear that. Just for the record, we do repairs, fill tanks, provide warranty service, and are authorized to sell everything we have on our site. We also do dive tours to fun places..........just got back from Fiji and Hawaii. And just for the record I stock more than all the "local dive shops". We also support our local dive shop and partner with them on may things. The key is to support them not to compete with them. Happy Diving.

I agree, it may be better to ASK before you purchase if you really want to use that information. Buying on the web or eBay is a great option, especially for those who do not live close to shops. Just keep in mind, you are buying life support equipment and shoudl always have used equipment tested before using!!

Take those strange wrapping off the hoses!!

It looks like a pretty good deal, and there is nothing wrong with buying from E-Bay or online.

It DOES look like a pretty good deal especially if the computer works.

Before you even think about diving the gear you are going to need to take it in to...oh, I don't know...hmmmm, OH! How about your local dive shop to have the regs gone over with a fine toothed comb?

See, you're supporting your LDS, saving some dough and insuring your gear works all at the same time..

Sea ya!

Just a quick thought here scuba aqua girl. Ebay is not an Internet shop, it's a place people buy and sell everything under the sun. That's where many sell their old gear, and believe it or not I know of dive shops who buy gear from ebay to resell to local customers, it's not always a bad thing.

In case you've managed to miss it, considering you don't have many postings, I support my LDS and will buy gear there as long as they take care of me, but I will get things elsewhere if I need to.

Your information is not accurate by the way, many Internet retailers are authorized and take excellant care of their customers and service the gear they sell.
