argos59:
what would a vintage double reg cost , if it was in good working condition ready to dive
Check some out at www.vintagedoublehose.com or www.vintagescubasupply.com
Those will be ready to dive as they are overhauled by guys who know what they are doing. Ebay regs are cheaper but you need to be careful and plan on spending some coin as they will usually need new diaphram, flapper valves, hoses, etc. You will probably be wiser to get them from the sites I listed.

I like your thumb screws on your hose clamps. Is there a source for them or did you make them?

You can find them at McMaster-Carr look at catalog page 3009. Part numbers 91746A836. They have the plain head also, but I like the slotted head better.

I see that BSea already responded.

Thanks BSea

AL just closed out the Mistral 2 and they have been selling for peanuts - $200-400 for the standard version and $300-500 for the limited. But inventory is pretty much cleaned out so prices may start increasing.

At the lower price they are a steal, but at the higher end, if you are looking for a double hoser to dive, buying an old Aquamaster and putting the Phoenix kit on it will give you much nicer, more authentic, classier rig for about the same money. Also probably easier to get parts for.

It'll be interesting to see how the new Mistrals do as investments since everyone I know who has bought them, the limited edition especially, is planning on sticking them in the closet. Which means there will always be a disproportionate number of new-in-the-box ones around.

Does any body know the price on these new limited edition minstral regs

Dear Aqua Lung,

I don't like your stupid new Mistral but I got 1,500 dollars and if you want it please reintroduce the Aqua Master as the Aqua Master LE. I'll take mine in titanium and black oxide. No poseurs need apply for my money, must be the real thing.

Thank you,
Nemrod

Entire sit coms have been created on far less basis than a couple, one who dives DIR and one who dives classic.

He only does it to annoy me . . . :D
