During my recent trip to Mexico, I met a delightful man whose profession is underwater videography. He is a recently certified cave diver, and had been looking for people with whom to dive. We did three days of diving together, and I had an absolute ball. On the third day, he offered to do a video of me cave diving, and I of course accepted with alacrity. The result is HERE.

For those of you who know the cave, this is the bypass line that runs past the Bone Room jump.

I thought it would be fun to post this here, since you guys have been with me from my first fumbling attempts underwater, through my recent completion of my Full Cave class. This is a far cry from the "weird lady doctor who fell on her back"!

Fascinating . . .Very nice! (My employer blocks Youtube . . .it was worth the wait coming home to view the video). Might consider this cave diving endeavor sooner instead of later. . .

Kelvin Davidson, the manager & wreck guide/instructor at the Truk Lagoon Dive Center completed his cave course in Mexico about the same time, said it was a wonderfully unique experience & environment (even under the stressors of the drills of the class, and having a rock come down on his mellon during a lights out drill:bonk: ).

Very nice! Hadn't been there in a couple of years and am thinking it's time to go back. I like that bling on your wrist too...

what undergarments did you take?
might be going in the spring. not sure what to do for exposure protection

Very cool video, and you look great diving it :) Thanks for sharing. I get a slight feeling of claustrophobia just watching, but it sure is a weird and wonderful world in there. Maybe some day.

I was wearing my Diving Concepts base layer, and a set of Land's End Polarfleece sweats. That was plenty for up to 100 minutes, but at that point, I was getting a little cool. If I were going to do stage dives and be in the water a couple of hours, I'd wear my DC 200g Thinsulate.

The pockets are, indeed, X-shorts.
