Just spent one week in Dharavandhoo local island during rain season, luckily only experienced one day of rain.

I stayed in Biosphere Inn, the stay and dive package is very reasonable priced but the room's conditions are so-so.

If you prefer more comfortable hotel, I recommend Aveyla Manta Village Hotel.

I dived with Liquid Salt Divers, they are good.

Snorkeling in Hanifaru Bay video (saw over 12 manta rays):

Best manta viewing dates:
Marine Discovery Centre | Four Seasons Maldives Landaa Giraavaru

During fullmoon, you may see over 50 to 200 manta rays in Hanifaru Bay.

Out of the Bay, I saw a few manta rays in three out of the four dive days.

As I can see Dharavandhoo beach still dirty.

Here is my Hanifaru Bay experience:

Dates: Aug 2016. I've seen around 50-60 mantas

Biosphere Inn is ok place if you're looking for just simple staying in Dharavandhoo.

Thanks for your nice video!!!

I didn't go during full moon, so saw less manta rays.

The Dharavandhoo beach is not dirty at all. Those are natural debris, not man made garbage.

The thing is in other local islands hotel owners hire somebody to clean even natural debris daily. Based on your photos I'd not say in Dharavandhoo they do it.

Any other local islands you would recommend for dive vacation? Thanks.
