Just got back late last night . There was over 8 inches of rain in 30 hrs after several other days of rain. This on an island with little thought of drainage. Check out this thread (especially the video) on BonaireTalk if you are interested.

Yeah we recently had some tropical depression type rain come through puerto rico this past weekend (about 6 days of just stormy rainy weather) It was so bad they stopped running the ferrys and grounded the planes and I got stuck on the island of vieques for a few days with no way off! I feel your pain.
