Huge thanks to Jupiter Dive Center for putting me on the boat with a no reservation walk up for the 3 tanker dive this morning. Captain Phil & DM Ryan just smiled and said what's the boat food today? Hot chicken noodle soup with warm rolls,,, So I made a bunch of diver friends smile including Thomas Lynch and Jeff Trotta who also were on the boat.

Dove Wreck Trek with a tiger shark, Bahama Brads for 6 lobsters & Kirles to finish. Viz was top to bottom 100ft, 76 temps, & slow half knot current. Surface was 2 footers. Limits on big bugs easily. Should be nice for the holiday!

Us spearo's get so many disgusted looks when we bring dead animals back that the only way to make everyone smile is to bring boat food. Other divers may not know my name but often just say "Your that soup guy !! "

Been trying to follow your example albeit with warm-from-the-bakery breakfast pastries. Bringing chicken noodle soup and warm rolls is next level kung fu.

@Johnoly definitely sets a very high bar. I don't have that gene, but I DO always tip the crew well and work hard to be a very low maintenance customer. If it was an especially challenging trip and they did an outstanding job, I tip even better. So that is at least some consolation.

Exactly!

I hardly ever tip for services rendered to me as much as I try to reward our great Florida DMs for their hard work taking care of others, especially visiting divers. I’m an unashamed extrovert so I don’t hesitate to share the word with visiting divers when we have a great crew onboard. I’m not trying to squeeze tips out of them but rather ensure they walk away feeling confident about their experience and knowing they’ve seen what right looks and sounds like.
