We're contemplating the possibility of a short dive trip to the La Paz / Cabo Pulmo area, and early July works well for us. For those of you down there, or who have dived there in that period, how's the weather? Too close to, or into, cyclone season? Or does that not happen until later in the summer? Any info appreciated!

Thanks!

PS - While we're on the subject, is that period good for any of the migratory marine critters that move in and out of the Sea of Cortez?

Thanks again ...

I assume that's a little too early for you to be affected by monsoon season, but I'm not entirely sure. I used to spend part of the winter working as a marine biologist on an eco cruise line in the Sea of Cortez, but that was winter and we were mostly in the La Paz area with some trips from La Paz to Cabo to Mag Bay and back.

We are considering similar trip- La Paz or Cabo- which would you recommend for diving in July or August? We are somewhat novice divers. thanks!
