july 10-17 canceled looking for new trip

Hello everyone the trip I was hoping to go on through a local dive shop was canceled due to lack of interest. The trip was supposed to be to NC for some wreck diving. I'm looking for a new trip that's falls withing the July 10-17 dates. I live in MD and would prefer something I can drive to say Florida, st Louis, etc. If anyone is aware of a dive trip please let me know, I'd hate to cancel my vacations days and have to go to....work lol.

If you are willing to drive to Florida (long drive!) maybe do the BHB, and check with nearby ops for some boat dives. If you like photography it sounds like a great option.

I currently don't have a photo rig, the ocean decided to take it a few trips ago I'm really looking for a planned trip through a DS. If I can't find one and must do a "tour" dive Bonne terre mine is at the top of my list.

Why cancel a NC trip? Just arrange boat tickets through one of the Dive Centers around Morehead City.
Olympus run through the week and usually have space - plus cheap accommodation in their bunkhouse.

I agree with Scubapro67! Olympus can fix you up I'm sure. NC has some great diving you don't want to miss!

Scubapro67 thanks for the great tip. I looked into them tonight and if they have open slots when I call tomorrow I will be diving with them soon!

Not to be captain obvious, but O.C. MD has some great dives planned in your list of dates. The 16th is my annual b-day dive. Pick the right boat and you can meet a real Pirate1 lol

Thanks for suggesting Olympus, I dove with them for 3 days. The first 2 days were great we had decent viz on day 1 due to the hurricane just passing, day 2 was crystal clear about 90 foot viz and a very interesting dive site. Day 3 was the smaller boat and 2 awesome dive sites. The only negative I had was when then DM accused me and my buddy of turning our dive into a deco dive. I found this appalling especially since we were the last ones into the water, and we weren't even the last ones to get back onto the boat. Even with this one foul I would gladly dive Olympus again, but I will try and avoid that one DM if possible.
