Now in its 12th season, Expedition Unknown has been a popular show on the Discovery Channel hosted by historian Josh Gates. An exciting watch is the season premiere episode, “Missing Heroes of World War II,” which aired on Wednesday, November 15 at 9 PM ET/PT on Discovery Channel.

Just saw this -- two episodes. Really enjoyed it -- at first I wondered if it was just an excuse for Josh Gates to have a diving vacation, but it was actually quite interesting and a lot of good history. Well done.

Surprised no one on Scubaboard has given him a hard time yet for doing a 150 foot dive on a single AL80.

Most likely because he's definitely down with a safety diver etc. Though it would be interesting to know how they script all that out ahead of time to get the right shots and commentary. Great show overall!
