Come join us on, February 10th, for our guest speaker Captain JT Barker. His topic will be: The “Lancing” a Gem in the Shadow of Titans. While divers often hear and desire to dive such big name wrecks like the Monitor and EM Clark. The Lancing a 470ft Whaling Factory/Tanker at a depth of 129-165ft and sunk April 7 1942 by the U552 is fast becoming the most requested dive in Hatteras, NC. Why?
Capt JT Barker has been a licensed captain for over 24 years. He is an avid Wreck Diver, Trimix Deep Diver, Cave Diver, and Adventure Seeker. He started running dive trips in 1994, has dived and led trips to many prestigious sites such as: Andrea Doria, E.M. Clark, Bow Mariner, Monitor, and the famous wrecks of the Billy Mitchell Fleet, which includes the German Battleship Ostfriesland 380ft and Light Cruiser Frankfurt 420ft. Capt JT is presently exploring new new wrecks while also running dive charters for all levels of divers in Va beach, Va and Hatteras, NC on his vessel the "Under Pressure". Capt JT holds himself to the highest standards of safety and leadership; his focus on risk management ensures that his trips are conducted safely. With all of Capt JT's diving accomplishments he is just as happy diving 100ft.
