I went with Offthewall charter this past Sunday. We did the wall first. Saw a few fish and a lot of fishing line. I also saw what look like steel cables in some trees. But this is where we turn the dive. The visibility was about 20 ft and the water a warm 73. The junk was next. They have added a few more items to the area. This makes for a more interesting dive. But I’m a fish person. I find it amazing. You can stop and the fish will come to you. I think somebody has been feeding the fish. The last time I was out with Bill . Was Nov. 2001. I knew there was something different. But did not figure it out till. I was half way home. He had shaved his beard. But he is still a great person. He help me a lot . When I was just starting out. Thanks Bill.

headed that way next month, did you do any shore dives off the boat ramps?

I did the remote ramp last weekend.(7/13/2008) It’s a long walk to the water, with all your gear. But that is were I dive most of the time. But the dam and the wall are the best dives. The water is clearer and you can go as deep as you want. The intakes may make you nervous .It did me the first time. You just need a boat or a charter. Now the dam is off limits to bad.

If you don't want to carry all your gear down the ramp when doing shore dives, you can drive down the boat ramp (which is adjacent to the diver's ramp) and offload your gear near the water. When the diving is done, you can drive down the boat ramp again to pick up your gear.

It is okay if divers use the boat ramp to off-load gear (I do it every week), just don't park on the boat ramp or diver's ramp.
