I'm a Fish!
As standard tradition, a bunch of GLWC members will be at Gilboa for the New Years Day dive. The plan is to meet up at Gilboa at 10am. Come out and start out the new year right!

To show you some of the fun, here is Choby's video from last years dive! :D

I'll be there if I can get back from Nashville in time; coming home on the 31st, but don't know how late I will be getting back.

That was great!!!

pictures! pictures! :smash: :smash:

Great day of diving, We missed all (okay most) of our Wrecking Crew buddies that couldn't make it! Good Times, Good Friends.... let's dive

I was there with my LDS. Fortunate to talk a little with CamG.

Day started off nicely at around 49 degrees and then the winds kicked up as outside temps dropped. Fast.

Viz was around 40 to 50 feet.. My Oceanic showed water temp at 40 degrees.

I am guessing maybe 15-20 divers in the quarry. My drysuit leaked. But a great way to start the new year.

There were few fish at the bus, unlike in the warmer temps.

Those cats at Gilboa have put on weight. Must be their winter "coats".

Greetings fellow GLWC members been trying to start a thread on the GLWC forum since Jan.01 not sure what is going on with my computer but alas.

Thank you to all the members who came out and braved the howling winds and rain to kick the 2012 dive season off right!
I was very pleased with the turn out and the dive conditions on Sunday were not as nice at Sat. am.
Vis was in the 50+ range here and there and less around popular areas.
Water temps were pleasant for this time of year the only thing making it cold was several small leaks in my dry suit and the wind up top.

What makes this dive awesome is the company you keep!
I do not care where in the US you go dive the GLWC is a group of people who love to dive and have fun!
I have made many great friends continue to do so every year!
THANK YOU, ALL OF YOU!

It was a very Happy New Year for me coming to meet up with all of you!
Safe diving in 2012 and see you at the spring M&G!

CamG Keep Diving....Keep Training....Keep Learning!

I agree Cam. I was able to get an end of year dive in at Whitestar on Saturday and then the New Years Day Dive at Gilboa on Sunday. I can't think of a better way to celebrate. We have such a great group (both new and seasoned). I am looking forward to the spring M&G to get the big group together again and am always looking for reasons to dive. So, post when and where you will be diving and I'll do what I can to join in!

Thank you all for a very memorable 2011 and am looking forward to a great 2012 with all my dive buddies!

Ditto with BoneCrusher and Cam. The older I get the more i appreciate the friends I've made over the years since I hooked in with the GLWC. You guys and gals just keep adding quality years to my life. I'm up for any dive anywhere; just let me know and I will do my best to be there. Thanks to all who showed up on New Years Day and made my day a great one. Happy and healthy and safe new year.
