I haven't seen any jax or northern florida dive reports in a while so I thought I would tell everyone whats going on.
Our first spot was MR but the the vis was 2 feet and decided to move to EF 10 miles away. The vis was a lot better at about 40 feet and the temp was 72 top to bottom. This reef was a circular ledge in about 80 feet. Saw two giant turtles sleeping under the ledge and a big nurse shark also chillin under it(everything is bigger in N.Fl). There were a lot of short groupers and snappers but we had earlier caught two decent keeper gags at the same spot, one 11 and one 18 lbs. Saw a guitarfish which was a first for me. There was a huge school of Cigar minnows that was being chased by the always present barracuda. The seas were only about 1 foot and the air temp was about 80 which made for a great day out on the water.
