While California diving is a pleasure, we wait ALL year to return to God's Pocket, British Columbia, where diving is superlative. Sure, at 46 degrees this time of year, the water is darn cold, but the color and profusion of life make up for it. It will blow your mind.

Every dive is different in some way and reveals one unexpected treasure after another. Last year, huge Puget Sound king crabs traveled to the shallows (from wherever they normally live) in order to mate.

My collection of photos from our trips is at God's Pocket, British Columbia

If you're game, Richard Salas still has one spot open in March/April.
