...nature underwater offers some great macro opportunity, which can't be seen topside.

Very true. You've proved your point with your photos. They are nice! You have a good eye. Do you have a website? I'd like to see more of your work.

Very cool. I try to look for unique angles and patterns like these, and your pics are a great reminder and inspiration!

I agree.I like this pic with the trumpet fish in the backround becasue of the textures.

Beautiful! These would make great screen-savers.

Seeing these kind of pictures always makes me feel embarrassed about my photo skills -- don't know how you guys do this.

Very nice. The first one looks like an abstract water color and I love the crionoids.

Thanks you guys.

I'm not that great at taking pics of fish and the like, and nudis ....well, i don't seem to find the interesting ones. I come from a graphic design background, so i find these "abstracts" easier. I've only just started using a DSLR (Olympus E410) and I think the ZD50mm Macro is a great piece of glass. it's allowed me to do things that my P&S wouldn't.

ippy01,
yeah, they do make great screensavers though. And that's what my buddies alway tell me - and i get envious of their great pictures of gobies, shrimps, pigmy seahorses and awesome nudis. Also, I don't dive as mush as some of them. Each to their own i guess.

Saltwater Junky,
No, I don't have a website, just my Flickr account in my signature.

You know in Flickr under your profile somewhere there's a place to define "your flickr web address" or something like that....that way your photos can show up under Flickr: Page Not Found (or whatever your screen name is) and be easier to search.

Very nice abstracts btw - I especially like the crinoids that are all curled up (?) ... remind me of a gang of vegative roly-poly bugs or centipedes.

I should do more of this too, just don't have the macro (yet). 35mm, basic 6" dome port so no mag help as with a flat. For that matter, haven't even taken THAT down yet. :)
