Yesterday I had plans to meet my buddy for 2 early dives at Little and Big Corona (Corona Del Mar, CA). The sun wasn't up when I went into my garage and couldn't open the garage door. We scrubbed the dives and you don't want to hear about what was wrong with the garage.

With the door working we met today as rescheduled. As I'm getting geared up the band breaks on my dive computer. Here's the story...

After the dive we change plans and decide to dive North Crescent in Laguna, Beach. On the entry, my buddy loses his prescription mask on his surf entry. We recover the mask after 20 minutes in the surf zone and decide to scratch our second dive.

After washing my gear and putting it away I discover the access door is stuck on my camera. Here's the story...

Now I know what Rosana Rosana Dana meant!

You better have a good reason for not being able to open the door ;)

yea that is definetly some pretty bad luck.,.has your friend ever decided to wear contacts instead of having prescription lenses? thats what i do because its cheaper and if you lose a contact you have a backup in the boat or at the beach and i only lost one contact once

I don't know. I also have an Rx mask. I've never worn contacts and didn't want to start just for diving. It would have been one more new thing to deal with. I've had good luck with my mask, so far.

As a pre-existing contact wearer you had the benefit of experience. Glad it works well for you

I wanna hear the garage door story

Sideband: I wanna hear the garage door story
Aelvin: yeah, more on the garage door story please....

It's not funny and it's not a good story but the punchline is... $1,100! OUCH

Come on now you've got us all curious

get eye surgery if your eyes/budget can swing it! 2nd best decision I've ever made. One more vote for wanting to hear the garage door story.
