Italian diver hit by the boat and seriously injured near Korcula - The Dubrovnik Times
Officials of the Port Authority Dubrovnik on Wednesday received the message that the diver was seriously hurt near the small island of Mala Sestrica, close to Korcula. The boatmaster of hit the diver (63) from Italy with the boat, just about 200 to 300 meters from the shore of the island.

The diver was heavily injured, and the boatmaster immediately pulled him out of the sea and took him to the port of Korcula. Emergency doctors found that the diver had a life-threatening injury and he was driven by a helicopter to a hospital in Split. The investigation is underway.

According to the first tests, the boatmaster was not drunk. The diver was alone in the sea, while his wife and friend, both Italians, were on the yacht Nimila, anchored at the other end of the islet.
