I remember when I was younger...kids (myself included) would hang out together at the park, at the mall, at the internet cafe, comic store, or candy store, the beach, the library...

Now working at the liquor store, I see kids looking into the liquor store as if it was a Candy shop...today a bunch of kids were peeking through the barred windows at the liquor store where I worked at and pointing at the wine bottles, the types of liquer available and commenting on it....sad..... :dot: :dot:

Wish I took a picture to show you guys...they looked like monkeys

When you are a kid you feel like you are old and know it all. When you get older and look at the kids who think they know it all, you know. Kids grow up faster and faster in their own minds. But as you get older it is still better to feel like a kid, sometimes.

I believe that you are talking about the immature bunch of kids? Because they are the ones with too much hot air in them that they have to let out every few minutes.

Though i may be only 17, i have seen alot of younger kids who are in this group.
They act as if they are the centre of the universe and all have to bow down to them,I'm not sure if this is only happening in Singapore.

i want to remain a teenager at this age...this is the best time of my life...dont you agree?

No it a world wide virus that most teenagers get at a certain age. A does of humility usually cures them.

Weird, I can't seem to edit my post. I meant to say "A dose of humility," not does.

That I'll agree with.

Honestly, I think the shelter of saying someone is a "kid" till they are 18 and suddenly your an adult and have to think like an adult and make adult decisions and enter into adult contractual agreements, etc., is more of a problem than anything. It provides a false umbrella of security that provides for some serious failure points once that "adult" age becomes a reality.

The gap of the "adult" age and age to purchase alcohol only adds to the confusion in that your expected to be an adult, make adult decisions and responsibilities, but your not really able to do everything as an adult yet because alcohol is not able to be legally purchased under your legal name and age. Its very odd that gap exists..

Perhaps if parents actually teach their children (past, present, and future) how to interact with people and the art of "taking responsibility for your actions" the legal age of 18 would really be nothing more than the age of recognized age of tranisition of "apprentice adult" to "adult" with all rights and responsibilities including but not limited to being able to have a beer.. responsibly. Afterall, once you are considered an "adult" who are your peers... other adults! So, wouldn't it make sense to know be experienced in socializing and communicating with your peers??

Then again all the ages could be raised to 55 and should you live that long, then you have full rights to do what ever you want any time short of rape and murder.

OK.. I'm done with my weird rambling.... back to your regularly scheduled programming!
