Issues with Kraken Hydra video lights

Has anyone had issues with Kraken hydra 8000 v1 video lights underwater? I find that the power button wont always turn the light on. Sometimes I get no light but the LCD screen on the back turns other time I get the light to turn on but no LCD or control of output. This is a very frustrating issue considering the price of these lights. Is Kraken just another Chinese junk light company?
