Has anyone been to in Isla Mujeres recently? Info on dive shops, accomodations, etc. would be appreciated.

We are considering staying at Punta Pedra 11 and diving with Mundaca Divers. Anyone familiar with either of these? How about some good restaurants?

Thanks,
Bruce

Cassa O's and Rolandi's for eats. Poc n choc (I think it was) is great for your low budget place. Plenty of good food downtown on the Hildalgo as well. Grab the mapchick map for Isla (google it) that wil get you plenty of info, they mail them fast so you will have it your hands within 5-6 days.

We stayed at Posada del Mar and liked it. The location is great for access to the docks. They also had a freshwater shower and hose for rinsing gear. Pool and Air conditioning as well.

There's a couple of posts on diveshops at the Isla Mujeres Speak Easy forums (google again)

We tried to book the Punta Piedra II, but it was full. I think that location may require bus/taxi service to get you into town. Check the mapchick map for locations of most the guest houses.

Enjoy

We been to Isla Mujeres 3 times this year. Coral dive shop is the best. They have a great staff. We stay in a little apt. called Que Barbara. It is 200 feet from Coral and only $200 per week. Hope you have a great time.
