Hey,

Headed to Isla Mujeres on June 9th for the first time and staying at Privilege Aluxes.

Deciding on what dive operation to use. Any recommendations? Also, want to check out the whale sharks any tips on who to use for snorkel trips?

Thanks, can't wait!

Please post a trip report with whomever you end up using. Will be there in July doing the same thing and will be interested in your experience.

We just got back from Isla Mujeres and while we didn't do the whale sharks we did dive for three days with Mundaca Divers located at the Avalon Reef Hotel on Play del Norte. They do advertise whale shark trips. Also if you go diving with them, go to Punta Sur and see turtles mating. We went on two divesand P Sur and saw three pairs and a dolphin.

Thanks! Sounds like you guys had a great time! How were the dive boats? did they have canopies on them? I'm not sure Mundaca is a convenient operation relative to our Hotel's location but i'll check them out.
