Whaleshark season is here again and the moon is getting full, everyone wants to know where is the WhaleShark at Gladden Spit? My opinion there feeding at other location due to change in food pattern or currents, I know for sure the Cuberra Snappers are spawning and this is the best sign that there coming back to Gladden Spit as we've seen them from March Fullmoon, April Fullmoon and just a matter of time, Mr. big needs to feed and there's other meals currently more important than the Snapper Spawn. Lets assume they don't show up this year? what effects will it have on the population of Snappers in Belize, how many more people will benefit from us not seeing them 1 year. But is this a sign that things might change and there not coming back? Where's our Sharks specialist when we need them to give us there professional opinion with alittle facts to make us all understand what's happening. In 12 years diving Gladden I've never not seen a WhaleShark so this will be a real test of what's happening in the world of WhaleShark feeding in Belize and the region, so many opinion and mother nature will direct us either for the better or worst. For all my fellow professional in the diving industry in the southern belize we must be patient and observer whats happening during this fullmoon phase, The Sharks needs food and the Snappers are spawning so where is Mr. Big?
