Guys,
I was just wondering how many of you dive when it is raining? Do you cancel a dive if rain is in the forecast?
My brother and I are supposed to dive this weekend, and the long range forecast is for showers/rain. Today I was thinking that we'll just have to cancel, and then it hit me - "Why?!". Why cancel because it's raining? I'm going to get wet anyway!!!
I thought about it some more and realized that one of the reasons I was thinking like this is because often (at least where I live, right on the Atlantic) dangerous weather can whip up out of nowhere in a few short seconds. The other reason is because we, as humans, are almost hard-wired to cancel an event on land due to inclement weather, and this thought process, as in my case, often spills over into other activities such as diving.
Sorry to be so long-winded, but does anybody have anything to say on this matter? Do you dive in rain?
