Is there aa alternate setting to make the OMD-EM5 flash fire?

HI all, I am just wondering if anyone has found an alternative to Big Fish/little fish to make the OMD flash fire without lifting the flash up. I have the Olympus housing.

As I've been out of the water for a while, I was checking the set up for a trip to Bali and could not remember how to set the flash up. Had to phone Olympus to find out how to get the flash to fire.

As BF/lf takes up a function key I was wondering if anyone had found an alternative option in the menu's to this?
 
I'm sure a simple HW hack could solve it. But I like the protection/convenience feature on land. In my (Meikon) housing, the flash goes fully up - making the housing extra big.
