Finally got to pool test my DSS setup last night while helping out a pool class. I wasn't too concerned with a perfect fit, as I knew it would take some trial and error, and, it would be way off for the pool (3mm vest only) if I set it for my 7mm, or off for the 7mm if I set it for the pool. Since I want to keep practicing with it when I help out in class, it got me thinking, is there a trick to readjusting back and forth? Do you just remember how much to take up/let out? Do you make fitting marks on the harness?

I make marks on the harness with a silver Sharpie, I have to go over them every six months or so to darken them up.

1+.

I've also used the Silver Sharpie to make small marks on the harness when fitting harnesses on my wife and son's BP/W's.

It typically takes a couple dives and bit of fine tuning to get the "fit" just right, and having those reference marks really helps with making small adjustments and also with re-positioning D-rings.

The marks can just be fairly small dots, just big enough so you can see them when making adjustments.

Best wishes.
