Pretty sure I got this at Warehouse (the big grocery store). Says it doesn't have the main ingredients listed here, but still a bunch of stuff in it that I have no idea what it is. Even with the cloudy and rainy weather my face got red, mild burn, the first day, so I will be wearing some sunscreen. Especially now that I just shaved off my mustache and beard because the constant mask leakage is driving me crazy on otherwise perfect dives, so baby fresh skin that hasn't seen sun in decades is exposed :D

Thanks for looking out for the reef shopguy! It’s difficult to weed through all the available information on this topic. Unfortunately avobenzone is on many of the updated lists of non-reef friendly ingredients. A good zinc or titanium dioxide based product is what you need. I believe VDT has stream2sea. I’ve not used it before, but many others recommend it.

Thank you @USC8791 If you have a link to one of the upgraded list, would you be so kind as to link it below.

Cheers,

couv

Thanks for all of the good info! The timing is perfect since this was the last bit of info that I was going to track down before my family dive trip this coming week! Both of my boys are new OW divers and their grandparents have been diving since well before I was alive. Here's to keeping reefs healthy for the next generation of divers

have there been any studies out comparing zinc oxide vs titanium oxide vs zinc oxide/titanium oxide mix?
