Hi All,

I have 3 macro lenses (Subsee +5; i-Dive +8 & i-Das +10).

If I want to take a Super Macro photo with either stacking double / triple macro lens, is there a correct sequence to stack the lenses. Should I start the stacking from:

  • Smallest to Largest magnifying lens or
  • Largest to Smallest magnifying lens or
  • it doesn't matter how it's stack.

Thanks

Largest to smallest is the correct sequence.

You should not assume that your lenses specifications are the same, example your subsee +5 is actually +5 in water your IDAS may be 8 and 10 on land but become less in water
So you need to try each lens and work out working distance for each one and then you know which one is really the strongest. I would think the 8/10 idas are labelled consistently so you just need to test that the idas 8 is actually stronger than subsee, you may find it is not...

Noted & greatly appreciate your info.

Cheers
