Is the Sealife DC1400 a good camera for beginners?

I thought the DC 1400 had a continuous (multi-shot) feature...push the trigger button and it takes 3 shots?

Anyone know for sure if this works well under water?

Thanks...I had a DC1200 but lost it at sea before I could explore that feature. Seriously thinking of replacing it with the DC 1400 at some point in time since I already have the two Sealife Strobes and two video lights with trays.
 
The lag gets much shorter when you chose macro or infinity focus modes. the "normal" mode is painfully slow and will result in mostly fish butt pics. that is what I found on my dc1000. I would this this is a consistent throughout the SeeLife cameras.
