Is Halcyon "Focus" light considered DIR?

Why would it not be?
 
It’s pretty DIR.

I don’t like that toggle switch on the lighthead. The Wkpp had a special run done that omitted that switch and was permanently in the “high” position. The battery pack is normal with an on/off switch and the light head is on an EO cord.

The focus 2 on and e/o without that silly toggle switch is damn near perfect.

How have you found the E/O cord useful in your diving? I note that the E/O cord is an extra $200US.

I use it all the time, but my situation isn’t very common.

It makes it easy to swap out the light head with a backup, or a video light, or a heated vest.

If your diving doesn’t use those things then an EO cord really doesn’t help you at all.
