Heck, I never got the mileage my truck advertised at the dealer. My dive lights always burn down early. I'm not feeling any healthier drinking C2 over regular Coke. My DSL connection is always much slower than I was told.

Over-hype from manufacturers is common everywhere. Dive gear ain't no exception.

I knew it was a conspiracy!

Yep... and at 3000 psi an aluminum 80 holds... 77.4 CF.

Consider the Venture instead. Same lift and usually price but some added toughness over the DR Travel version. I use the DR Venture wing with al80's and steel and also wear a dry suit in cold water with it. Single tank use only. I have even had it on while surfacing in 8 ft swells. No problems. Good wing.

If I had to do it over again I would probably go with the Halcyon version ONLY because of the added 6 pounds of lift I would like to have when using the dry suit with heavy undies on. Perhaps keep my head another inch out of the water on the suface when it's rough. However that Halcyon is considerably more expesive. Good luck. Have fun etc...
